On May 7, RCA opened its new production plant in Washington, Co. Durham. Up until this point, their product had been pressed by Decca and during this transition period, CBS. To commemorate this event, 200 copies of this album were pressed and presented to company employees and dignitaries that attended the opening. The LP was split into two categories; "Classical" and "Popular". Elvis' recording of "In The Ghetto" appeared as the last song on the B-Side.
