"Love Me Tender" was the title of Elvis Presley's Hollywood movie debut. This release, his first U.K. extended play record, contained four songs from the film. The front cover of the EP was taken from a scene where Elvis performed "We're Gonna Move" on the front porch in front of his family and friends.

Goodbye, EMI. Hello DECCA.
RCA (U.S.) and EMI (U.K.) had worked together since the turn of the century as RCA had imported records pressed by The Gramophone Company in Britain. HMV in return, imported records pressed by RCA in Camden, New Jersey. Both companies used the "Nipper" logo for their labels.
David Sarnoff the President of RCA sat on the board of directors of EMI until 1951.
In 1955 EMI purchased Capitol Records, a major rival to RCA in the U.S. in 1955. This may have turned relations a bit sour going forward. In March 1956 news broke about a new partnership between RCA and Decca UK regarding the distribution of RCA product in Britain that up to now had been exclusively handled by EMI on their HMV label.
RCA now granted Decca the license to press RCA vinyl from their Malden plant, including all of Elvis's material, both old and new. The new RCA product started to appear around May but they had to use the lightning bolt logo as Nipper was still being used in the U.K. by "His Master's Voice".
NOTE: For a short period afterward, HMV (EMI) was still permitted to release older Presley material.​

"Peace In The Valley" was the first RCA Elvis extended play. This sacred EP contained material that meant a lot to Elvis. He was deeply influenced by gospel growing up and it is clearly evident when you listen to this record.
