The A-side of this single was the title track of Elvis' debut movie. This song was also available in the U.K. on HMV extended play. The melody was taken from an american 1861 civil war ballad titled "Aura Lea". The B-side was recorded in New York alongside "Hound Dog" and "Don't Be Cruel".

Boxed instructions Both Sides stated that:
