This single contained material recorded live in 1970. These songs were never attempted by Elvis in the studio. The A-side was a "swamp rock" style number that originated from singer/songwriter Tony Joe White. The B-side, also only recorded live, evolved into a show opener for his live performances. Both songs were taken from the album: "Elvis On Stage" (SF 8128)
