RCA in conjunction with Lever Brothers, released twenty singles in a series introduced by english disc jockey and TV personality Noel Edmonds. The singles were obtained through mail order and housed in a wrapped calender poster that used a 'Special Days' theme. Various Lever products had a request form titled 'Noel Edmonds Record Year' printed on the carton/box. The idea was to fill in the form along with four proofs of purchase, choose your specified single and it would be sent to someone special on the appropriate day. The B-side (identical on all singles when played) stated that you were the chosen recipient of a gift.
NOTE: 'The Wonder of You' was the first in the series.
