This album was released to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Elvis Presley Fan Club of Great Britain. The tracklisting was chosen by the fans. Early issues had a hype sticker celebrating the 'Hit' single "Suspicion"

NOTE: RCA moved away from the APL1 catalogue number, and starting with this release, introduced a new system: "PL" for albums and "PB" for singles. PL stood for "popular label" and included five numbered digits. If the first number selected was "1", the release was issued in both the U.K. and the U.S.A. If the number selected was "4" it was only issued in the U.K.

This was the last of five classic soundtrack LP's added back to the U.K. catalogue. It is not to be confused with the original 1957 UK 10" release of the same name. It is not really a re-issue of the U.K. album deleted in 1965, but a duplicate of the original american release (albeit in electronic stereo instead of mono.)

It included the same eight tracks that were previously released on the British 10" version, but also had the four extra studio tracks that were included on the U.S. release.

This album mostly used previously released or bootleg material. RCA made an infringement of copyright claim, and it was later withdrawn. Early copies of the sleeve had the word stereo printed in the top left of the front cover even though it was a mono LP. Later copies had a mono sticker applied, correcting the error.

This double album was a collection of live performances recorded by RCA for CBS Television. Sourced from two live concerts given by Elvis in June 1977. Most of the songs came from the show in Rapid City on the 21st, as Elvis gave a less inspiring performance two days earlier in Omaha. It also included comments from the fans and a special message from Elvis' father Vernon.
