This album was originally released in the UK also in mono on the HMV label in 1957. This re-issue was supposedly released due to pressure applied by the U.K. magazine 'Elvis Monthly' and it's Record Club. After RCA took over from HMV in the UK, fans found it difficult to obtain this 'missing' album unless they bought it from abroad at increased prices. The monthly tried to get its readers (estimated at 400,000) to guarantee to buy a copy. The editor even promised to buy 1000 copies!

It bore the same front cover as the original U.S. version. This LP was the first to bear the new RCA VICTOR Small Silver Dot Logo. (even though the front cover had the later Red Dot logo) From this point on most mono and stereo albums would have the same catalogue number. (RD for mono, SF for stereo)

NOTE: This LP was issued using the matrix number G2WP. G2 = 1956    WP = Mono LP

Side 1: G2WP 7207     Side 2: G2WP 7208

This album was kept in stock by issuing re-pressings with the same catalogue number until it was deleted by RCA in September 1970.

Original release: April 1957:

Sound Format: mono (CLP 1105) (02)

This album was originally released in the UK in mono on the HMV label in 1957. This re-issue was released using a new technology developed by RCA called "Electronic Stereo". This was to capitalise on releasing original mono recordings for the stereo market. This album was supposedly released due to pressure applied by the U.K. magazine 'Elvis Monthly' and it's Record Club.

NOTE: The mono version used G2WP as this was used in the 1956 original release also in mono.

This version was given the M2 (1961) matrix due to it's recent "electronic stereo" makeover. M2PY. M2 = 1961        PY = stereo LP

Side 1: M2PY 4729     Side 2: M2PY 4730
