RCA used this opportunity to get rid of some surplus stock of the original 'The '56 Sessions Volume 1' (PL 42101) that was released back in May 1978. Copies of the 'PL' sleeve, containing the original album, had a sticker applied to the rear of the cover changing it to the 'RCALP' catalogue. The LP's were unaltered.
Note: They did not release a proper RCALP album.
