UK Album No. (11)

This gatefold album was the first to contain entirely new material since 'King Creole' in 1958. A recording session was set up almost immediately after Elvis' discharge from the service in March. It was issued as usual in mono, but was also released in a new format called stereo. The front cover used a publicity shot from Germany taken in 1959. The back cover showed a smiling Elvis in uniform taken in the U.S. back in March 1958. The inside sleeve contained black and white photographs of Elvis during his army duties.

NOTE: This LP was issued using the matrix number L2WY. L2 = 1960        WY = Stereo LP

Side 1: L2WY 1967     Side 2: L2WY 1968

This album was kept in stock by issuing re-pressings with the same catalogue number.

It was assigned a new catalogue number in 1981.
