This compilation album was the third volume in the "Golden Records" series and the first new Elvis album to use RCA's new 'Red Dot' logo.. The songs selected were a good mix of strong hits and did the series justice. The front cover used a publicity shot from the movie "It Happened At The World's Fair". First issues of the rear cover had a reversed publicity shot from the movie "Fun In Acapulco".
NOTE: This LP was issued using the matrix number PPRS. PP = 1964 RS = Stereo LP
Side 1: PPRS 4170 Side 2: PPRS 4171
NOTE: Later repressings on the Large Orange and New Black label incorrectly used the PRRS matrix number.
This album was kept in stock by issuing re-pressings with the same catalogue number. It was later assigned a new number when released on the International Label in 1981.
