This was Elvis' first album release for RCA and the soundtrack to his second movie. It originally came in a 10" format and contained only eight songs, seven of which were from the movie, the other a studio track.
The U.S. version of this album was released as a standard 12" LP and had twelve tracks in total.
The extra four songs on the American LP that were omitted on this release, were released in the U.K. on the Extended Play, 'Elvis Presley' (RCX 104)
